About
I’m a 32 year old mum of five lovely children – a 7 year old (Ramona), a 5 year old (Hesja), 3 year old (Georgia) and 14 month old twin boys (Emerson & Cooper). I am married to a wonderful man called Desmond. He teaches at a local university and we met climbing in British Columbia, Canada. He’s into physics and all sorts of maths and I’m the polar opposite, covered in paint and glue and bits of ribbon and glitter, but somehow we pull it off and have laughs while we’re doing it.
Our life is crazy but I love it! I was an art teacher before I became a stay at home mum. I was a camp counselor before I became an art teacher (and during the summer when I was teaching). I was an artsy nerd in high school. I mostly grew up in Vancouver, BC, but have lived in Glasgow, Scotland, Johannesburg, South Africa, Wellington, New Zealand, Vienna, Austria, Amsterdam, Netherlands, Tokyo, Japan, New York, New York, and Toronto, Ontario. My parents are photographers and fairly bohemian, thus the constant travel. Their house is little more than a hotel for when they happen to be in San Francisco or London. I’m the youngest of three – an older brother and sister, and an amalgamation of cultures and countries. The earth is my home, but for now we have planted our roots in Cambridge, Massachusetts and when my children are a bit older, we may begin our travels again, but for now we are just living and taking things as they come. I hope you enjoy the peek into our lives!
